Round Rock Named No. 2 Best Minor League Baseball Town
Financial technology firm SmartAsset previously has ranked the city in the top two slots since 2015.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — For the second year in a row, Round Rock has been named the No. 2 “Best Minor League Baseball Town” by financial technology company, SmartAsset.
The ranking has included Round Rock each year since its initial publication, coming in at No. 1 in 2015 and 2016, and No. 2 in 2017. In 2018, the Round Rock Express saw a total attendance of more than 600,000 and an average of almost 9,000 fans per game.
In addition to attendance at the Dell Diamond, data on 159 towns was analyzed based on game day experience factors like the team win percentage. Quality of life factors were also analyzed and included violent and property crime rates, income remaining after housing, unemployment rate, and dining and entertainment establishments.

“Other than the Express, Round Rock is a great place to live. This city is relatively safe with top-35 scores in both violent and property crime rates. Many residents here are also able to afford housing with plenty of money left over to deposit in their checking accounts. This city ranks in the top 10 for income after housing.”
