ROUND ROCK, TX — Curbside trash collection is returning to Round Rock starting on Monday, followed by recycling collection next Monday.

City officials on Monday announced Round Rock is resuming trash collection on Monday and will follow its normal pickup schedule. During the week, the city will offer its regular "Plus 7" item pickup, meaning residents can place an additional seven bags or bundles of trash at the curbside for pickup.

Residents can use Plus 7 to dispose of limbs and brush resulting from the winter storm. Bundles of limbs and brush must be no more than 4 feet in length and cannot weigh more than 40 pounds. Limbs greater than 4 inches in diameter are not permitted.

Residents have several options when it comes to disposing of limbs and brush, the city said in a news release. Organic debris can be taken daily to the brush recycle center at 310 Deepwood Drive from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting this week. Drop-off is free for Round Rock residents.

Residents can also request curbside pickup of brush piles by scheduling a pickup appointment online. The city said it will waive pickup fees for appointments made by 5 p.m. on Feb. 26. Residents are asked to remain patient as brush pickup appointments are in high demand.
