Round Rock Tween Cooking Camp Teaches Important Life Skill

ROUND ROCK, TX — An important part of growing up is learning the life skills needed to lead healthy productive lives. The benefits for kids learning life skill lessons range from self-esteem development to aiding in socialization and reasoning abilities. Parents can be especially excited knowing their children are adopting the tools needed to succeed.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26, the Round Rock Public Library will host Sticky Fingers Cooking for kids ages 8-12 for a Thanksgiving Holiday Themed Camp featuring kid-made Pumpkin Ravioli, Sage Butter, and Pumpkin Pie Egg Rolls. This fun and exciting opportunity will allow students to prepare and eat the delicious fall inspired Sticky Fingers Cooking recipe and learn cooking techniques in a fun, hands-on environment. Sticky Finger Cooking's talented professional Chef Instructor will reinforce proper kitchen skills, food culture, geography and science.

Space is limited and parents/caregivers are encouraged to reserve their child's spot today to participate in an afternoon of fun and learning and to enjoy great food. Please be aware that food will served at this event and persons with food allergies are to be aware and responsible for monitoring refreshments served at the library. Responsibility for monitoring minors rests with the parent/guardian/custodial caregiver.

This program is for children ages 8-12 only. Limited seating for caregivers and younger siblings who wish to observe will be available in the back of the room. Only attending participants must preregister. Online registration is required and starts Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 9 am. Those who arrive more than five minutes late may forfeit their space(s).
