ROUND ROCK, TX—Mark your calendars, it's nearly that time of year again, where residents are able to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. The Round Rock Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) host National Prescription Drug Take Back Day as an annual public event, offered as a community service for Round Rock residents.

Scheduled April 24 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., the community is invited to dispose of their prescription mediation by stopping by the Round Rock Police Department located at 2701 N. Mays St. The service is free and open to the public, and is anonymous, with no questions asked. Accepted materials include prescription medicines, over-the-counter medications, cough syrup, and pet medications. Items not accepted include needles, syringes, thermometers, IV bags, medical devices, and personal care products. For more information, click HERE.
