Support for Special Olympics Athletes with Fire Truck Pull at Round Rock Sports Center

Central Texas residents will attempt to pull a 55,000 pound fire truck to raise money for the Special Olympics of Central Texas (SOTX).

ROUND ROCK, TX - From the desk of the Special Olympics of Central Texas: Members of the surrounding Austin and Round Rock community will come together to put their strength to the test for a good cause, as they attempt to haul a 55,000-pound fire engine 75 feet in the fastest time. Teams, comprised of 12 people, have fundraised a minimum of $360 to compete in the annual Fire Truck Pull. All money raised from the event will benefit more than 4,000 Special Olympics Texas athletes in the Central Texas Area.

Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) is a privately funded non-profit organization that changes lives through the power of sport by encouraging and empowering people with intellectual disabilities, promoting acceptance for all, and fostering communities of understanding and respect.
