Three Round Rock Restaurants Fail Health Inspections
Eateries cited for a number of infractions ranging from improperly cooked chicken to moldy lettuce.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Three Round Rock restaurants failed their recent health inspections for reasons ranging from improperly cooked chicken to moldy produce, according to a published report.
The three restaurants receiving failing scores from county health district reports referenced by the Austin American-Statesman are:
- Pei Wei on University Boulevard. Among the infractions there food items not held at the proper cold temperature, chicken cooked to an improper temperature, stained cutting boards and dirty dishes.
- Teji’s on Round Rock Avenue was cited for a number of infractions, including improperly sanitized utensils, food items kept at improper cold temperature, no hot water at the hand sink and moldy produce.
- Happy Dragon Bistro on Louis Henna Boulevard also earned a failing score in February for having some food not at proper cold temperature, storing raw meat above uncovered produce and for grease build-up on the sides of kitchen equipment.
Inspectors reported that all three restaurants were allowed to remain as they corrected infractions, according to the report.
