Torchy's Tacos To Open 2nd Round Rock Location
Expansion-minded taco chain will occupy the space formerly housing PS 35, a pizza place that closed after a mere six months of operation.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — A second Torchy's Tacos location is coming to Round Rock.
The new restaurant is slated for 1500 N. Interstate 35 in a building that once housed the PS 35 eatery that offered New York-style pizza before its abrupt closure six months after its opening. Torchy's Tacos confirmed the new location on their website.
The imminent opening of its second Round Rock Torchy's Tacos location — each site distinguished by its devilish cupid mascot and its "damn good tacos" assertion emblazoned on the wall — is part of a regional expansion push for the chain that launched in August 2006 with a single food truck still parked at the South Austin trailer park/food court.

The chain also operates in the Texas cities of Amarillo; College Station; Dallas; Denton; Fort Worth; Houston; Lubbock; San Antonio; San Marcos; Tyler; and Waco.
Outside of Texas, the taco chain operates locations in the Colorado cities of Denver and Fort Collins; in Fayatteville, Ark.; and the Oklahoma cities of Norman, Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

Many were surprised when the former incarnation of the space housing the pizza restaurant PS 35 closed down in late 2017 after a mere six months of operation. The astonishment at the shuttering was heightened given the ambitious nature of the eatery's pizza menu, the elegance of its decor and the stunning architecture resembling a New York City subway station.
