University Boulevard Road Work To Cause Delays, Lane Closures
Motorists can expect delays during asphalt overlay work starting March 24 through April 14. You might want to plot out an alternative route.
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — A city contractor will be working on asphalt overlay at University Boulevard starting Sunday until mid-April, officials said.
The road work on the artery will take place between A.W. Grimes and County Road 110 from March 24 to April 14. This work will result in lane closures along the roadway in the evenings, with contractors using a pilot car to direct traffic through the available lane, officials explained.
City officials noted the proposed schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. As part of the City’s ongoing Street Maintenance Program, the stretch of University Boulevard will receive various pavement repairs and around 4,550 tons of hot mix pavement.

As a result of the road work, officials said, motorists can expect delays and slowed or stopped traffic during the flagging operation. Drivers are reminded to be on the lookout for workers in the area, reduce their speed when construction is taking place and increase the distance between their vehicles.
