What's Open, What's Closed In Round Rock On Thanksgiving

Offices are closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and library patrons should note that fines will accrue even on holiday dates.

ROUND ROCK, TX — City of Round Rock offices will be closed on Thursday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

As for library services, the Round Rock Public Library will be closed for Thanksgiving on Nov. 28, and Nov. 29. The library will resume our regular hours at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. Library patrons, take note: "Fines are charged on holidays as well as on the days we are open," library officials said. Fines do not take a holiday, it would seem.

There is no trash collection on Thanksgiving (or Christmas and New Year's Day, for that matter). Collection will occur the following day, and be pushed back one day for the remainder of that week. For example, if your regular collection day falls on Thursday, Nov. 28, it will take place on Friday, Nov. 29. Should it fall on Friday, Nov. 29, it will occur instead on Saturday, Nov. 30.
