WilCo, Taylor Officials Plan CR 101 Reconstruction Groundbreaking

The project is 3.2 miles with reconstruction to create two 12-foot lanes with left turn lanes at intersection with Chandler Road.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County and the City of Taylor officials are scheduled to celebrate the reconstruction of CR 101 with a groundbreaking ceremony next week.

The project is 3.2 miles and includes reconstructing the road to create two 12-foot lanes with left turn lanes at intersections of CR 394/CR368 and Chandler Road with two bridge structures, officials explained in an emailed advisory. The design engineer is Brown & Gay Engineering, and the contractor is James Construction. Construction is anticipated to be completed in 18 months for a cost of $13,092,842.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled on Monday, June 29, at 9 a.m. on county property located along he east side of CR 101 just south of CR 369. Williamson County Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles and Taylor Mayor Brandt Rydell are among those scheduled to attend.
