WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County has been awarded an additional $1.3 million in federal aid stemming from the coronavirus, officials announced Tuesday.
The total amount awarded is $1,343,984, according to an emailed advisory, and represents the third installment of Community Development Block Grant funding to help prevent, prepare for and respond to the continual spread of COVID-19. “We are grateful to Congressman John Carter for his effort to bring additional funds back to Williamson County to assist with our COVID-19 relief efforts," Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in a prepared statement. "These additional CARES Act funds will go a long way towards rebuilding our economy and supporting families in Williamson County.
