Williamson County Lit Up For The Holidays

The Williamson County historic courthouse and Georgetown square will be lit with scores of holiday lights just in time for the Thanksgiving.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The Williamson County historic courthouse and the Georgetown square will be lit with thousands of holiday lights just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, county officials said this week.

Given the ongoing reach of the coronavirus, however, there will be a virtual lighting ceremony shared across Williamson County and City of Georgetown social media platforms. To that end, every night from mid-November through Jan. 2, 2021, the square will be embellished with twinkling lights, local shopping options, dining and music.

On Thanksgiving weekend, the Square will have vendors downtown to kick-off the holiday spirit, officials said in the county newsletter. For more information on how the City of Georgetown is preparing visit the municipal website.
