WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County offices will close at noon on Thursday as a result of inclement weather resulting in icy road conditions, officials said.

The Office of Emergency Management encourages people not to travel unless it is necessary, officials noted. The region is under a winter advisory watch in alerting residents to potentially treacherous driving conditions given ice accumulation on roadways. "Watch for slick road conditions on elevated surfaces," county officials wrote in alerting to the early closure.

While municipal offices are closed, residents are urged to consider utilizing online services that are offered by various departments. To access the latest information from each department, visit www.wilco.org. For updates on the weather, follow @PreparingWilco on Facebook and Twitter.
