5 Dead In South Texas Town, Including 3 Killed At Nursing Home
Authorities say three people were found dead after a shooting at a South Texas nursing home and two others were found dead at a home.
ROBSTOWN, TX — A shooting at a nursing home in South Texas left three people dead and two additional people were found dead at a home in a crime that officials said was related to the shooting.
Robstown police said they responded to the Retama Manor Nursing Center around 7 p.m. for an active shooting. Two men and a woman were found dead at the nursing home. Police said the Texas Rangers would aid in the murder investigation.
After the shooting, police received a call from family members to go to the victims' home where there were two additional bodies found, city secretary Herman Rodriguez said in a video posted by a reporter for Caller.com.

The shooter was reportedly among the dead, according to news reports.
"Right now, we do feel that the crimes are related but we cannot speculate to the identity of the victims and their relation among themselves," Rodriguez said.

Robstown police chief Erasmo Flores said in a press release that information would remain scarce as authorities do not want to compromise anything that might impede the murder investigation.
"Our hearts go out to the victim's families and the residents, visitors and employees at Retama Manor who experienced this tragedy," Flores said.
