“The City of San Antonio suffered greatly during the winter storm, and it is imperative that we follow through with the recommendations put forward by the Committee on Emergency Preparedness. Our community endured wide-spread power and water outages, extreme cold and food disparity. We experienced a disconnect with key information to our residents, therefore our most vulnerable population was put at risk. Our community deserves more. I thank this Committee for their collaborative efforts towards improving response and preparedness in the future and look to the City, SAWS and CPS Energy for transparency and resiliency moving forward.”
