Undocumented Immigrant Shot, Killed By CBP Agent In Texas
The incident is under investigation by the FBI and the Texas Rangers.

RIO BRAVO, TX — An undocumented immigrant was shot and killed by a border patrol agent after officials say the agent "came under attack by multiple subjects" as he responded to a report of illegal activity in Rio Bravo, Texas.
In a statement, the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol said that around 12:20 p.m. a single agent responded to a report illegal activity near a culvert in Rio Bravo. The CBP said the agent found a "group of illegal aliens" at the scene.
The CBP said initial reports indicate that as the agent attempted to apprehend the group, the agent came under attack by multiple subject using blunt objects. According to the CBP, the agent fired at least one round, fatally wounding one undocumented immigrant.

Agents called for EMS and administered first aid till the local fire department arrived.
According to The Los Angeles Times, the undocumented immigrant who was fatally shot was a woman. A video from the shooting scene posted to Facebook apparently shows a woman shouting in Spanish, "Why did you shoot the woman? You killed the woman!" According to the LA Times, the woman also says that the undocumented immigrant was shot for running. The paper verified that the video was filmed at the scene.

The rest of the group fled the scene, the CBP said. Three migrants related to the incident were later apprehended.
The FBI and Texas Rangers are investigating the incident.
Rio Bravo is located near the Mexico border and is about three hours south of San Antonio.
