Owner of Little Medical School Gets Kids Excited about Science
Business is Family Affair for South Texas Couple as they Teach, Entertain Young People on Medical (STEM) Curriculum

(SAN ANTONIO, Texas)-When Bianca Brewster says the Little Medical School is the perfect family business for her herself, her husband and five-year-old daughter, one can sense the excitement in her words. The 33-year-old Brewster has been a franchise owner for two years with Little Medical School, the leading developer of specialized curriculum and interactive resources for children ages 4-16 that lets them explore the benefits of careers in healthcare while simultaneously being educated and entertained. “I loved the idea of owning a Little Medical School franchise, especially since it could be a family business and something that brought us closer as a family,” Brewster said. “My husband was a little skeptical at first, but he sure got involved as the business grew.”
Little Medical School-San Antonio provides its STEM-based curriculum (science, technology, engineering, math) through games, crafts and interactive demonstrations at schools, hospitals, daycare centers, birthday parties, summer camps and more throughout San Antonio and Laredo. Brewster, a Laredo resident, was formerly a biology adjunct instructor and the Undergraduate Research Coordinator for a local college. Her husband, Christopher Brewster, is a paramedic/firefighter and daughter, Madison Brewster, serves as “promoter” of Little Medical School and helps put supply kits together. “I have the education background and my teaching experience definitely helps when training Little Medical School instructors,” Brewster said. “My husband has the medical background, so this franchise was a perfect fit for us to work together and grow a business.”
Little Medical School offers a wide-ranging curriculum of virtual camps and classes. Franchise owners do not need a medical or teaching background. Little Medical School is a mobile business with low overhead that can be operated as a home-based business. The child-services and educational franchise industries combined represent an $11 billion segment that employs more than 285,000 people in more than 130,000 businesses.

“When I first heard of Little Medical School, I could not stop thinking about the idea of bringing it to the community and the potential of this unique franchise,” Brewster said adding, “I knew this could become my full-time career. Now more than ever, we need programs like these to encourage our children to pursue medical careers. There is a need for all types of health professionals, and we want to spark that interest.”
