San Antonio Girl At Center Of Amber Alert Found: Deputies

The girl, 2-year-old Jaya Trevino, was taken by her father, Juan (AKA Johnny) Trevino, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Authorities have found the 2-year-old girl taken by her father who was at the center of an Amber Alert issued out of San Antonio on Monday, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the father, who they identified as Juan (AKA Johnny) Trevino, 33, kicked down a door to his estranged wife's home, threatened her and then assaulted her. After the apparent assault, Trevino fled with their 2-year-old daughter, Jaya Trevino, deputies said.

According to deputies, the woman saw Jaya's head slam against the door as she was taken by her father.

Both Jaya and Juan Trevino have been found, deputies said. The pair were located around 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday in the area of Military Drive and Timbercreek, deputies said. Police said Jaya will be getting a medical evaluation as a precaution.

Juan Trevino is in custody, according to the sheriff's office.
