Animal Care Services and BISSELL Pet Foundation host a springtime Empty the Shelters adoption event

Dozens of ACS pets looking for a new family through this weekend

SAN ANTONIO (May 5, 2021) – Animal Care Services is joining BISSELL Pet Foundation for an adoption event filled with hope…and hounds! The philanthropic organization is hosting an Empty the Shelters event May 5th-9th at the San Antonio shelter with reduced adoption fees of just $25 for dogs and cats. All pets adopted during Empty the Shelters are sterilized, vaccinated, and microchipped with a lifetime registration included. Animal Care reminds residents that being a pet parent is a long-term commitment that should be made thoughtfully, and adopters can get started before even coming in by using ACS’ online resources:

• Make an appointment for meet and greets or adoption: saacs.info/adopt

Adoption appointments are strongly encouraged to guarantee entry during the event; however, ACS allows walk-ins as space permits. Social distancing guidelines, including the use of face masks or coverings on campus, are required. ACS is located at 4710 State Highway 151.
