San Antonio College Lockdown Lifted After Shooting Report UPDATED
37-acre campus located just north of downtown was locked down after officials got word of a nearby active shooter on Monday.

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — An all-clear was issued at San Antonio College late Monday afternoon after the campus was placed on lock-down mode amid reports of a nearby shooting.
School officials alerted to the lock-down via Twitter just past 2 p.m. on Monday. The move was taken at the 37-acre campus amid reports of a shooting in the nearby downtown area north of the school.
Some 2 1/2 hours later, SAC officials lifted the lock-down with no injuries reported.

"As of 4:36 pm, an all clear has been issued for San Antonio College," officials wrote. "All buildings and services have resumed normal operation. Evening classes on Monday, Jan. 28, will take place as scheduled. Thank you for your cooperation."

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — San Antonio College — a 37-acre campus located just north of its namesake city's downtown sector — was placed on lock-down mode on Monday amid reports of a shooter near the school.
Details were sketchy, but SAC officials urged students and staff to take precautions in a tweet sent shortly after 2 p.m.
"SAC Alert: San Antonio College is currently on lockdown due to a report of an active shooter near campus," the tweet read. "If you are on campus, please lock down completely. If you are off campus, please stay away until an all clear has been issued. Report any suspicious activity by calling 911."
