Shots Fired Into ICE's San Antonio Office
The FBI is investigating the shooting and noted that the building targeted with gunfire also houses other businesses.
SAN ANTONIO, TX — Federal authorities are investigating after shots were fired into a San Antonio building that houses an Immigration and Customs Enforcement office, the FBI said.
According to a statement, the shots were fired into the building located at 1777 NE Loop 410 at around 3 a.m. Shots were also fired at a nearby building either before or after the ICE office was hit.
The FBI noted that both buildings also house businesses completely unrelated to ICE.

Despite media reports that a person was taken into custody, an FBI spokeswoman told Patch no one is in custody.
A person was questioned near the scene but it was later determined they were not involved in the incident.

"These shootings were cowardly, brazen, violent acts, absolutely without justification and a threat to our entire community," Christopher Combs, Special Agent in Charge at the FBI's San Antonio division, said in a statement. "An attempt to attack federal employees is a federal crime with serious consequences. The FBI will relentlessly pursue every lead in this case to find the individuals who are responsible."
In July, a man who hurled incendiary devices at an ICE detention center in Tacoma, Washington was shot and killed by police. The man reportedly left behind a manifesto calling detention camps as "abomination."
The FBI is asking anyone with information to contact 210-225-6741 or submit tips online.
ICE did not immediately return a request for comment.
