Stretch Zone Opens First Studio in San Antonio

Stretch Zone, the stretch leader and pioneer of the Stretch Zone Method®, announces the opening of Stretch Zone San Antonio. Owned and operated by franchise owners Kathryn Comfort and Mike Akeroyd, the San Antonio studio is the company’s ninth location in the Lonestar state. The studio is also the latest proof point of Stretch Zone’s rapid growth as the category pioneer aims to bring the lasting benefits of stretch to the Stone Oak community.

Since its founding in 2004, Stretch Zone has become the largest practitioner-assisted stretching franchise across the country. In addition, Stretch Zone is the only nationally-accredited stretch franchise due in large part to its patented equipment and proprietary training and education methodology. Stretch Zone focuses on a scientific approach to stretch and believes in re-educating muscles to establish a more ideal resting muscle tone and range of motion.

Born and raised in Texas, and a veteran of the golf membership industry, Comfort aims to bring the benefits of practitioner-assisted stretching to the San Antonio area. Comfort and Akeroyd plan to expand to three locations in the next year, furthering residents’ access to Stretch Zone’s offerings.

Stretch Zone San Antonio will open its doors on Monday, May 20, and will host a Ribbon Cutting with the Stone Oak Business Association on Thursday, June 20, at 11:00 am. The grand opening celebration will continue throughout June 20 with light refreshments, giveaways, demonstrations, drawings and more from Stretch Zone and surrounding businesses.

The studio is located in Stone Oak area at 946 N. Loop 1604 West, Suite 150, within the Canyon Creek Shopping Center. Posted operating hours are Monday-Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m with appointments available before and after work hours.
