Although it’s been thirteen years since the release of their last album, Tool hasn’t been far from the music scene, performing live at festivals and events around the world, such as Coachella in 1999 and 2006 and Lollapalooza in 1997 and 2009.

Hailing from Los Angeles, Tool consists of Maynard James Keenan on vocals, Danny Carey on drums, Justin Chancellor with the bass, and Adam Jones as the band’s guitarist. Known for their experimentation in metal and progressive rock, Tool has won three Grammy Awards, including the 2006 award for Best Metal Performance with their song “Schism.”

With only four previous studio albums to their name, fans were excited when Tool revealed “Fear Inoculum,” released on Aug. 30 of this year.

To commemorate the latest album, Tool is taking their new music on a six-week North American tour of the same name. The “Fear Inoculum” tour launched on Oct. 13 in Sacramento and makes its way across the country and up into Canada.

The final show takes place on Nov. 25 in Washington, D.C., however, it sounds like the band has plans for even more new music.

“My hope is we get in and knock out another record. We have tons of material. It’s not going to take 12 years, or if it does, I’ll probably be so old I probably can’t pick up my sticks any more! But my hope is we’ll do another record and just keep moving forward, drummer, Carey said in a recent interview.
