Man Dies In South Austin Car Crash
Medics responded to intersection of Cumberland Road and South Congress Avenue on Sunday afternoon where they found injured man.
SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A driver died in a car crash along Congress Avenue after colliding with a concrete barrier on Sunday, police said.
Austin-Travis County EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Cumberland Road and South Congress just before 1:20 p.m. where they found the male victim with critical, life-threatening injuries while pinned inside the wreckage of his vehicle.
In a tweet, police later said the man died of his injuries.

Traffic along South Congress Avenue was diverted for a time to accommodate emergency responders before the roadway was fully reopened. No other injuries were reported.
