The Good Samaritan rushed to aid victims pinned inside car when he took a tumble and had to be medically treated himself.
SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A Good Samaritan trying to assist crash victims fell some 20 feet down a ravine in South Austin early Sunday.
The crash occurred just after 3 a.m. along the 8100 block of South Interstate 35 between Slaughter Lane and West William Cannon Drive, Austin-Travis County EMS said via Twitter. As crash victims were pinned to a vehicle, the bystander approached in trying to help before tumbling down the ravine adjacent to the crash site, medics said.
Medics transported a patient, presumably the man who had tried to help, to the hospital for treatment of injuries deemed serious but not life-threatening. The nature of injuries sustained by the crash victims was not disclosed.
