Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car In South Austin
Incident occurred during morning rush hour traffic along 12000 block of Interstate 35.
SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle along Interstate 35 in South Austin early Monday morning.
The incident occurred at around 5:40 a.m. along the 12000 block of the southbound lanes of I-35 near Farm-to-Market Road 1626. Austin-Travis County EMS medics said the male victim died at the scene.
Traffic was diverted away from the scene to accommodate a police investigation before the road was cleared in the peak of rush-hour morning traffic.
