Bicyclist Hit And Killed While Exiting I-45, Police Say
Police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash on I-45 involving a bicyclist who was exiting the freeway when he was run over and killed
HOUSTON — A bicyclist was killed in a hit and run accident as he was exiting Interstate 45, according to police. The fatal accident happened at about 5:40 a.m. at 12678 North Freeway (northbound) at Kuykendahl/Rankin Road exit.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the bicyclist, who has not been identified, was in the main lanes of the freeway and was exiting when he was hit and thrown from his bicycle.
The driver of the car fled the scene of the crash, officials said.
