Boil Water Notice Lifted In Spring After E.coli Scare
Officials lifted the boil water notice in Spring, two days the revealed E.coli was detected in tests.

SPRING, TX — A boil water notice for residents in Spring was lifted a day after officials announced tyhe discovery of E.coli in water samples.
Residents in the Spring community of Country Lake Estates were under a boil water notice after officials with the Bilma Public Utility District discovered E. coli bacteria in water samples on Tuesday.
Officials sent out the notice on Wednesday informing residents of the boil water notice.

Bilma PUD provides water and wastewater service to nearly 1,800 customers, consisting mostly single family residences.
The District’s water is supplied primarily by North Harris County Regional Water Authority. Bilma has two water plants that supply water to their customers, but officials have not indicated if both plants showed evidence of contamination.

E. coli is a bacteria that normally lives in the intestines of people and animals. However, there are some that can cause intestinal infections and severe illness in some people with weakened immune systems.
