Commissioner Cagle To Visit Students In Spring, Klein ISD's

SPRING, TX Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner R. Jack Cagle will visit with students at two local middle schools Monday as part of the C-SPAN Bus program, which seeks to educate children about American government and the political process.

Commissioner Cagle will arrive at Spring ISD’s Twin Creeks Middle School Monday, Feb. 3, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Klein ISD’s Hildebrandt Intermediate School from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to discuss what it means to be an American and educate students about his role as a county commissioner.

“This excellent educational event provides opportunities for students to engage elected officials and take an in-depth look at political processes from all levels of government,” said Commissioner Cagle.

Since 1993, the C-SPAN Bus program, created by the American news network, C-SPAN, has traveled the country, visiting schools, political events, book festivals, and state capitals. In the last 25 years, the C-SPAN Bus has attended 8,000 events and hosted 1.5 million visitors, including 40,000 teachers and 800,000 students.

Commissioner Cagle has served as county commissioner for Harris County Precinct 4 since 2011. He was re-elected in 2014 and again on Nov. 6, 2018. Commissioner Cagle represents nearly 1.3 million residents and manages a staff of 433 employees with a budget of $283.5 million. For more information, visit www.hcp4.net.
