Harris County Hosting Spring Creek Watershed Meeting This Week

The ​meeting is one of 23 planned for each of the watersheds in Harris County, which will be held through the first week of August.

SPRING, TX -- Officials with the Harris County Flood Control District will hold public a public meeting in the Spring Watershed on Wednesday evening to address flood remedies with area residents.

The meeting is one of 23 planned for each of the watersheds in Harris County, which will be held through the first week of August.

The purpose of each meeting is to describe projects that could be candidates for funding in the 2018 Flood Control District bond program and to solicit residents' input on other flooding issues that should be addressed.

These meetings have been declared to be special meetings of Harris County Commissioners Court so that members of Commissioners Court may attend and participate.

Opening remarks will begin promptly at 6 p.m. followed by an open house for the community to provide input to elected officials and the Flood Control District. The focus of this meeting is the Spring Creek watershed.
