High School Football: The Texas High School Playoffs Continue

Can Cy-Fair continue winning against Ridge Point? Can Marshall stay undefeated to the state title? Follow the action on Patch

The Texas High School football season continued with a host of early games the day after Thanksgiving. Some Houston area high school teams made an early exit, with others advancing to the next round of the playoff race.

In the early games Magnolia West fell to the Mansfield Timber Wolves 45-28, and Georgetown bested New Caney 35-32. In later games, Cy-Fair shutout Ridge Point 31-0, Round Rock fell to The Woodlands 53-50 in a wild one, undefeated Marshall rolled to a 49-31 win over A&M Consolidated, North Shore defeated Dickinson 65-21, and Katy Taylor lost 24-14 to Cy-Creek.

The playoffs continue Saturday with Tompkins traveling to Cy-Falls, Cy-Ranch playing Spring Westfield.
