Man Steals Car With Child Inside Leading Police In Hot Pursuit
A man who led police in a hot pursuit in a stolen with a child in the back seat Sunday night ditched the car and is on the run, police said.
SPRING, TX — Police are looking for the man who stole a car with a 4-year-old girl inside, and led them on a high speed chase. The incident began outside a convenience store in 5600 block of Treschwig Drive in north Harris County.
Investigators said the child’s mother pulled into the parking lot of a Circle K store at about 11 p.m. Sunday, and left her Chrysler 300 running when she ran inside. Within seconds, witnesses said a man on a bicycle pedaled up to the car and drove away with the woman’s daughter.
Police said the man led police on a 15-20 minute pursuit at speeds of up to 120 miles per hour.

The suspect, who eluded police, abandoned the stolen car about two miles from the convenience store, police said. The child was found unharmed inside the car.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
