Man Uses License Plate Flipper To Avoid Toll Charges

SPRING, TX — A Houston man who allegedly used a license plate flipper to avoid toll charges had racked up a whopping toll bill exceeding $5,000, Constable Mark Herman said Friday.
Preston Cody Talbot, 27, was arrested Thursday afternoon after a as traffic stop in the 8000 block of North Sam Houston Tollway.
According to a press release from Herman's office, Talbot was pulled over because he allegedly hadn't paid the toll.

During the traffic stop, the deputy discovered that Talbot had device installed in the rear of his car that flipped the license plate to conceal the license plate from toll cameras, to avoid paying the toll, officials said.

Deputies said they learned that Talbot was not permitted to be driving on the tollway because he'd failed to pay outstanding tolls in the amount of $5,473.07.

Talbot was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Possession of a License Plate Flipper, and his bond was set at $100.00, officials said.
