Thirty-two applications were initially received from around the country.

The cty council narrowed that field down to 10 candidates and they were sent a lengthy questionnaire to answer and return.

The Council then narrowed the field down once again to five candidates.

One of the candidates subsequently took another position and the remaining four candidates attended an assessment center conducted by the city’s Human Resources Department.
