Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown Opens May 4
The park formerly known as Wet & Wild Splashtown has been renamed Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown and has a ton of new features.
SPRING, TX — Houstonians can get a head start this weekend on summer time with the opening of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown. The water park opens on Saturday, May 4, and marks the return of Six Flags to the Bayou City since Astroworld closed for good in 2005.
The park formerly known as Wet & Wild Splashtown may not look like it once did to some who experienced the park in years past.
In fact, there’s a lot that’s new about Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown, including one of the coolest attractions known as Wahoo Wave.

The thrilling six-story water slide is just what’s on tape for those adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers who crave a 30-foot plunge that sweeps across a water wall before descending into a refreshing pool.
