Spring Fire Department To Honor President George H.W. Bush
The Spring Fire Department Honor Guard will salute the funeral train of Pres.George H.S. Bush as it leaves the rail yard in Spring.

SPRING, TX — The Spring Fire Department Honor Guard will render honors to the late President George H.W. Bush when his funeral train 4141 embarks on the 75 miles journey to College Station on Thursday. The train carrying Bush’s casket is expected to leave the Union Pacific Rail yard in Spring at about 1 p.m.
According to Spring Fire Department Communications Director Tracee Evans, Spring Tower 70 and Ponderosa Tower 61 will be set up on the northbound feeder road of Interstate 45 over the railroad tracks with a large American flag flying between the 2 tower buckets.
The flag will stay over the roadway. Both towers will set up in the right lane of the feeder road on the northbound side and have flag flying no later than 12:30 p.m., Evans said.

Other department personnel will have apparatus and equipment staged at various locations along the route.

Evans said department personnel will wear their Class B dress uniforms, and will salute the train as it passes.
