Spring Woman Found Dead After House Fire
A deputy constable responding to a burglar alarm arrived to find the home in the 25500 Block of Friar Lake Lane on fire, police said.

SPRING, TX — An 86-year-old woman was found dead inside her home by Spring Firefighters who were called to the home by a Harris County Pct. 4 deputy constable who was responding to a burglar alarm, officials said.
According to police, the deputy constable was dispatched to the home in the home in the 25500 block of Friar Lake Lane at around 3 a.m.
When the deputy got to the home, he immediately saw the fire and called the Spring Fire Department after trying to get into the home.

Firefighters arrived and extinguished the blaze that had started in the front of the home, according to a press release from the Spring Fire Department.

Officials said the home did not have any working smoke detectors, and they believe the woman was trying to get out of the house when the fire started.
The Harris County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the origin of the fire is being investigated by the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office.
