Students at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care Celebrate Earth Day
Students participated in a variety of activities, including an Earth Day parade, ladybug release and gardening projects
Students at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care locations on Rhodes Road and on West Rayford Road in Spring recently celebrated Earth Day through a variety of activities to care for the environment. Students at Xplor on Rhodes Road worked together to plant flowers throughout their schoolyard. Following the gardening activity, they parade around the school holding banners that shared positive messages about caring for the planet. Students at Xplor on West Rayford Road released 1,500 ladybugs throughout their schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Leading up to Earth Day, the students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Xplor teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
