US Rep Dan Crenshaw Visits Spring For Flood Control Meet & Greet

HOUSTON—The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce has partnered with
the Cypress Creek Flood Control Coalition to host a Meet & Greet for U.S. Congressman Dan
Crenshaw to take place on Tuesday from 5:30-7:00pm at the Cypress Creek
Christian Church in the Forum.

All are welcome to come. The Congressman’s primary goal is to meet and greet his “west side constituents” and to have a dialogue about flood issues. But he will be prepared to discuss any number of topics.

The participants will also hear updates from Austin regarding critical legislation moving through
the State Senate and House that will bring needed funding to our area for flood recovery and
mitigation.

Matt Zeve, Deputy Executive Director for Harris County Flood Control will report on flood
projects underway in Harris County as a result of the Harris County bond passed in August
2018.

Representatives from the Cypress Creek Greenway the Bayou Land Conservancy and
Harris County will be on hand to field questions.

“Congressman Crenshaw has already shown a strong commitment to the Spring-Klein-Cypress Creek Communities by opening a district office in our community near The Vintage. The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a welcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new office when the new office is ready and all are invited,” explains Barbara Thomason, Chamber president.
