What's Happening This Weekend: A Round Up Of Cool Events

HOUSTON — Now is the time to start planning your weekend. Think about where to see the best concerts and shows, go to the best festivals or hit up the best food trucks in the Bayou City.

Wine and Food Week in The Woodlands| Friday| The Woodlands| Tickets| Wine enthusiasts will love sampling more than 500 wines and flavors from more than 50 area restaurants.

Houston Tattoo Arts Convention| Friday| Houston NRG Center| Get a little inspiration for that tattoo you’ve always wanted, and load up on some cool accessories while your at it. Tickets are $20 at the door, or $40 for a weekend pass.

Latin Beats at the Downtown Aquarium| Friday @ 7 p.m.| The place and shake your booty for free. The Aquarium hosts free weekly Salsa lessons courtesy of the Texas Salsa Congress. Live music, professional teachers.

Saturday:
Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures at Grand Texas| All weekend| New Caney| Teacher and School Faculty Appreciation Weekend| Teachers and school faculty who show their school ID get in free.

Archery Classes at Mangun-Howell Center|June 7-July 27| Houston| Children ages 9-15 can learn how to shoot a bow and arrow, and learn basic archery for no charge. Registration is required, just call 281-591-7830.

Free Movies and Popcorn at Mangum-Howell Center| Saturday @ 1 p.m.| If you are a fan of Freddie Mercury and Queen, then this screening of Bohemian Rhapsody is a must-see. Free popcorn and drinks.

Sunday

Second Sunday Revival at Market Square Park| Sunday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.| Spending a relaxing Sunday jamming to smooth jams| Free.

Crawfish Boil on the Patio| Sunday 4-7 p.m.| 4216 Washington Ave, Houston TX 77007| Eat crawfish with all the fixings for just $3.50 per pound. No cover.
