- Museum of Madness and Mayhem Haunted House: Residents age 15 and older are invited to step into the Houston Museum of Natural Science and experience the scary side of science. The interactive haunted house is set to include zombies, the Dollhouse of Death, Paleontology Hall of Horror exhibits, a hair-raising mini-film and other transfixing treats on Oct. 28 from 7-11 p.m. The cost to attend is $22 for members and $25 for general admission.
- Halloween Town: Happening at Sugar Land Town Square, the event welcomes witches, superheroes, ghosts and princesses to bring families, friends and pets to a safe atmosphere of celebration on Oct. 30 from 4-8 p.m. The event will feature festive character roaming the area with activity stations and attractions provided by local organizations and businesses. Admission is free. Friendly fright is encouraged; blood and gore are not. A costume contest will be held, open to children and pets, wherein participants can arrive dressed in their favorite Halloween ensemble. Winners will receive a prize pack. - Haunted Orphanage: HOSA students present the opening of their haunted orphanage to the community at the Civic Center Complex on Oct. 29 from 8-10 p.m. Visitors will walk through a deserted orphanage filled with spooks at every turn. Attendees must be at least 10 years of age. The cost is $7.
- Miss Ivy's Spooktacular Halloween Party: Families and children of all ages will be able to enjoy to spooky games, mysterious tricks and sweet treats at the Fort Bend Museum on Oct.29 from 2-5 p.m. Guests will step into the pages of horror classics by authors Bram Stoker, Edgar Allen Poe and Mary Shelley. House tours will begin at 2 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. - Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra Presents Hauntcert: A free trunk-or-treat event will be held at 1:15 p.m., with the concert beginning at 2 p.m. A costume parade will be held during intermission. The performance will include spine-tingling favorites from popular music, the classics and video games. The outdoor event takes place Oct. 29.
- Ghosts and Grub: Reservations are required for an after-hours, ghostly-good time at George Ranch Historical Park on Oct. 29. Happening 7-10 p.m., the event is recommended for individuals 12 years of age and older. Dinner will feature a Halloween-inspired menu, and afterward, guests will take a candlelit walking tour with stories of ghost encounters. The tour will incorporate more than a mile of walking. - All Hallows' Day: Members of the community are invited to George Ranch Historical Park on Oct. 29 to learn about 100 years of Halloweens past with games and activities, ghost stories and a scavenger hunt. The event kicks off at 9 a.m.
- Magical Maze and Goose Bumps Haunted House: Families are welcome to explore a butterfly garden maze at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where they can play a pumpkin toss game, snap photos and have their faces painted. Prizes will be given to the winners of the grand costume parade. Attendees will be able to visit the family-friendly Goosebumps Haunted House, fun for monsters of all ages. The magic begins Oct. 29 at 10 a.m., extending to 2 p.m. Tickets are $3 for members, $15 adults and $12 for children.
- Black and White Masquerade: The Fort Bend Museum presents an evening of appetizers, cocktails, wine and beer, with guests surrounded by the spooky, yet festive, atmosphere of the historic Moore Mansion. Attendees will have the opportunity to get their portraits taken next to a Victorian-era glass hearse, tour the eerily decorated mansion and dress to impress in their black or white cocktail attires while being treated to music, hors d'oeuvres, libations and a dance floor. Tickets are $45 or $40 per person for members of the Fort Bend County Museum Association. The masquerade takes place Oct. 28, 6-9 p.m., and is open to ages 21 and older. - Haute Halloween, A Dueling Piano Experience: Residents are invited to grab chairs and head to Sugar Land Town Square to kick off the Halloween weekend. Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos will be front and center, entertaining with an interactive, all-request, laugh-out-loud show for all ages. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at $5 each. This free event is set for Oct. 28 from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
