2 Robbery Suspects Killed In Shootout With DPS Troopers
DPS Troopers who were part of a violent crime task force, killed 2 robbery suspects and arrested 2 others after a store robbery Tuesday.

KATY, TX — Two robbery suspects were killed and two others were arrested after a shootout with Texas DPS troopers Tuesday night. The shooting happened in the Cinco Ranch area in far west Harris County at about 11 p.m.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the four men were all part of a violent crew connected to several Houston area robberies.
Officials said the men had robbed a Walgreens store in the 22200 block of Westheimer Parkway in Cinco Ranch.

DPS troopers who were working as part of a violent crime task force in the area, confronted the suspects in the Walgreens parking lot.
Officials said the four men fled the parking lot, and troopers followed the vehicle to the Aston at Cinco Ranch apartment complex near South Mason Road.

Police said the four men fired at troopers, who returned fire. One of the suspects died at the scene, while another died a short time later at an area hospital, police said. The other suspects were taken to the Fort Bend County Jail, officials said.
