Black Friday 2018: Retailers Poised For Christmas Spending
Stores will get a head start this year with many opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day

HOUSTON — The Christmas shopping season officially begins on Thanksgiving night with retailers poised to open their doors Thursday night.
Stores who are hoping to reap the benefits of a strong economy will kick off the Christmas shopping season while many are still snoozing after a day of eating Thanksgiving turkey.

Several retailers will open early Thursday morning, a day ahead of traditional Black Friday shopping. The stores that plan to open before noon on Thursday include Walgreen’s, Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops, Big Lots, and Dollar General.
