Brazos River Turnaround in Sugar Land Closed Indefinitely
The Brazos River Turnaround in Sugar Land is closed indefinitely due to flood damage.
Sugar Land, TX — The Brazos River Turnaround under U.S. 59/I-69 is closed indefinitely. Recent heavy rains caused erosion along the river's edge, which threatened the roadway.
The erosion caused a dividing wall/concrete guard rail to fall into the river. TxDOT engineers are expected to come out and investigate the state of the road to see if it can be repaired or reopened.
