Desmond Glaze Pleads Guilty To 2016 Murder Of Jena Pleitez
Desmond Glaze will spend the next 38 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of Jena Pleitez on Wednesday.

RICHMOND, TX — A Richmond man will spend he next 38 years of his life in prison after pleading guilty to the 2016 murder of Jena Pleitez.
On Feb. 7, 2016, Rosenberg police were called to the Victoria Garden Apartment complex after a neighbor said she'd found the body of a woman. Then detectives arrived, the found Pleitez, 33, shot multiple times in a breezeway of the complex.
Police arrested Glaze three days later and charged with first degree murder. On Monday, Glaze's attorney filed a motion to suppress testimony, which was denied by a judge.

The next day, Glaze pleaded guilty Pleitez's murder.
Rosenberg Police Chief Jonathan White praised the work of the Rosenbergh Police Department and the Fort Bend County DA's office for ensuring justice for the victim's family.

“Tragic events like this are difficult on everyone involved,” White said. “We’d ask that you continue to remember and pray for those who suffered as a result of this horrible act. It’s time for our community to come together and help those families heal.”
