FBI Searching For Cross-Dressing Bandit Who Held Up IBC Bank
A man who was dressed as a woman robbed the IBC Bank branch in southwest Houston on March 25.

HOUSTON-- The FBI Violent Crime Task Force and local law enforcement officials are looking for a man who dressed as a woman to rob a bank in southwest Houston last month.
The robbery happened on March 25 at the IBC Bank branch in the 8200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
Investigators said the suspect came into the bank at about 11 a.m. dressed as a woman and wearing a niqab.

Once inside the bank, he pulled out a gun and corralled bank employees and customers into the back of the lobby.
He then brandished the weapon and made verbal demands for money from the tellers, and threatened to shoot if they did not comply.

The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, but was observed entering a tan Ford Escape parked several blocks away. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.
The robber is described as a black male in his late 30s or early 40s, approximately 6’0” tall, with a thin to medium build.
During the robbery, he wore a long maroon dress, a pink cardigan, a floral patterned niqab over his face and head, and large prescription glasses.
