MISSOURI CITY, TX — The search for a missing 4-year-old girl took a different twist when officials found the stepfather's stolen car in Missouri City on Thursday morning.
Officials with Texas EquuSearch suspended the search for Maleah Davis for two days because of severe weather conditions, and resumed the search on Thursday in southwest Houston.
On Thursday Tim Miller with Texas EquuSearch announced that the car Maleah's stepfather Darion Vence was driving when she disappeared had been found. Officials are hoping the discovery will yield clues to what happened to Maleah.

Meanwhile, officials said they are examining video surveillance to determine who left the car in the parking lot.
The car was seen on surveillance driving near State Highway 6 and U.S. 59 at about 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Vence, who said he was assaulted by three Hispanic men who stole his car and kidnapped Maleah, is considered a person of interest in the case and has not spoken with police since his initial interview at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital, officials said.
Texas EquuSearch officials said they are in a race against time as the weather is predicted to become severe late Thursday afternoon .
