Food Delivery App Favor Expands Sugar Land Coverage

The food delivery app Favor is expanding its coverage in the Houston area and hiring more runners to keep up with demand.

SUGAR LAND, TX -- The food deliver app Favor announced that it is expanding its coverage of the Houston area, including Sugar Land. The expansion of the business includes adding new sites as well as hiring more deliverers existing coverage areas.

The company has added Spring, Tomball, Klein, Champion Forest, Firethorne, Energy Corridor, Pecan Grove, Richmond, Pearland, Friendswood and East End to its Houston area delivery zone.

Favor, which was founded in 2013, is an Austin-based business. They employ over 20,000 deliverers (which they call Runners) in 15 cities in Texas.

The on-demand delivery company is doubling its West Houston presence, tripling its Central Houston presence and boosting their coverage in North Houston by over sixfold.

To keep up demand, Favor is hiring many more Runners. "To service this increased footprint, Favor is actively surging its Runner base in the Houston market," they said in a press release. The company is on track to more than double its runner base by hiring 25,000 new ones in 2017.

Favor is offering a $50 delivery credit to new users who download the Favor app and use the code "FAVORTX" to claim it.

Also, this coming weekend, from July 14 to 16, deliveries will cost $1.
