Fort Bend Chamber Announces Excellence For Nonprofit Leadership Program
The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and The George Foundation celebrate another year of the Excellence for Nonprofit Leadership program.

From the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce: The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The George Foundation are celebrating another year of the premier Excellence for Nonprofit Leadership program. Registration is now open and it is expected that the class will fill quickly.
The eight-month program dedicates one day a month to learning best practices for a nonprofit organization. Topics include organizational audit, board governance, strategic planning, assembling the workforce, fundraising and financials. The program is designed for executive staff, board members, and prospective board members of nonprofit organizations.
The program is instructed under the leadership of Sandra LeVan. Previously, LeVan was an Officer in the Development Office at Oklahoma City University and then Director of Development for the OCU School of Law. In May 1988, LeVan became Director of Development and Finance for the Oklahoma Arts Institute where she remained until December 1990. In January 1991, Ms. LeVan changed the focus of her career when she established Non-Profit Planners. Since that time, LeVan has not only worked with nonprofits on management and governance issues, but has developed, presented and/or facilitated training sessions, board retreats and workshops on a wide variety of topics. Since 2006, LeVan has taught the eight part series entitled Leadership Excellence for Nonprofits.
