Fort Bend Emergency Management Holding CERT Classes

MISSOURI CITY, TX — The Fort Bend Office of Emergency Management will hold Community Emergency Response Training classes Aug. 201-21, 26 and 28.

The free training will teach participants the basics of disaster preparedness, disaster fire suppression, disaster medical operations, light search and rescue operations, disaster psychology and team organization and first aid.

The class will also include a disaster simulation, which will allow participants to practice and apply the skills they've learned.

The classes will be held at the Fondren Seventh Day Adventist Church, 7950 W. Fuqua St., in Missouri City.
